This is the first legit absinthe produced in the USA since the country lifted its ban in 2007. The formula took eleven years to perfect. First, brandy is infused with wormwood, fennel and star anise before being copper pot-distilled. Then there’s a secondary infusion of tarragon, basil, lemon balm, mint, hyssop, and stinging nettle. This is where the spirit becomes a gorgeous emerald green. By the time it's bottled, the chlorophyll breaks down and the colour transforms into the "dead leaf" green we see on the shelf.
