Dry and assertive, this one quickly opens-up with a rich spiciness combined with sherry and oak, praline, dried citrus peels, and followed by a long, lingering smoky finish.

In 1968, Glenfarclas became the first distillery to release a cask strength single malt whisky. That bottling was later renamed 105, which referred to the British proof equivalent to 60% alcohol by volume, which is now referred to as 120 proof (simply, double the ABV). A young whisky (6yrs?), aged in ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks. Benefits from a sploosh of water in your glass and is a good one to get to know over the period of, say, a long winter of dreaming, scheming, and watching films about the future.
